The Toronto Maple Leafs have tried anything and everything to shake their losing ways early on. One attempt to salvage the season was a closed door meeting in which it was believed Brian Burke spoke a few words to the team. This is noteworthy because it's a commonly held belief that General Managers often leave that sort of stuff up to the coaches.
